Specification check

How to check if your computer has the minimum requirements:

  1. Check your operating system (usually you can ‘right click’ on the ‘My Computer’ icon within Windows Explorer, and select ‘Properties’ to view this information).
  2. Check your Processor and RAM information (This information will be available from the ‘My Computer’ ‘Properties’ described above).
  3. Check for free ports, these are on the rear of older PC Towers, and on the rear and side of laptops. On newer PC Towers some USB ports are available on the front). An Ethernet port looks like a phone ‘jack’ or port, but is slightly larger. And a USB port is a small slit marked with a ‘connector’ icon.
  4. Check how much hard disk space you have available, selecting the Properties of your Hard Disk via Windows Explorer.
  5. Disk speeds are only a problem with older computers. You may need to refer back to the information supplied with your computer.
